Welcome to Sheepy Magna Church of England Primary School!

I am privileged to have taken over the Headship at this wonderful little school as of the 13th March 2017. It is an exciting time for us and we are continuing to work together as a team to provide an engaging education for our pupils.

We are a small, rural primary school situated on the Leicestershire/Warwickshire border with 104 children on roll. The school was originally built in 1847 and has had many extensions since then. We have four classrooms in the main school building and a large mobile classroom that is designed especially for our youngest children. We also have a Library, a Computer Suite, a Kitchen and large outdoor area that has a garden for the children to grow their own produce and has lots of equipment to play with at lunchtimes and playtimes. We also have our Peaceful Place - which is a new garden area for quiet reflection. We actively encourage the children to learn outside and regularly use the various community gardens, walks and woods as an extension to our grounds.

We are open daily from 7.45am until 6.00pm with very active Breakfast and After School Clubs run by school employed staff. Our curriculum is exciting and creative and we have taken a lead role on curriculum development within Leicestershire over the last few years. PE and sport play a big part of Sheepy life and we employ a Sport’s Coach to work with all the children throughout the week. We regularly take part in competitions and tournaments and have quite a few trophies to show for it!

We believe that at Sheepy children have an excellent educational start in a happy and relaxed atmosphere which allows them to develop into responsible and caring young people. We pride ourselves on the Christian ethos and values that fostered within school and each child has the responsibility of looking after each other. Our older children run lunchtime clubs for the younger children encouraging excellent behaviour, resilience and independence.

We benefit from an experienced and stable staff who offer the children different ways to learn and exciting opportunities to develop their skills. We believe that getting the primary phase of education right is vitally important and that it starts pupils' journeys to successful lives.

If you would like more information about our little school please do not hesitate to call us for an informal chat or to make an appointment to come and have a look around.

We will all look forward to meeting you.
